About the Role:
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will assist with the day to day operations of the Finance and Human Resources functions of the company. This role is for someone who has administrative experience and is interested in developing a career in Finance. Working in a small team this varied role will start with the duties of a Purchase Ledger Clerk & HR Assistant and will develop into a broader Finance role for the right candidate.


Responsibilities include:

Purchase Ledger:

  • Check purchase invoices have been properly coded and approved for payment
  • Reconcile supplier statements and chase missing invoices
  • Post invoices to the Safe Financials accounting system
  • Deal with supplier queries
  • Process staff expenses, checking claims are supported by valid receipts
  • Filing of invoices and expenses
  • Assist with adhoc duties such as month-end processing

HR Admin:

  • Draft offer letters and employment contracts for new starters
  • Carry out pre-employment checks and coordinate the induction process
  • Maintain all personnel records including sickness and holidays
  • Input monthly payroll changes
  • Assist with adhoc duties such as recruitment
  • Other general duties commensurate with the position




Successful Candidate:

  • Previous experience working in Finance or HR administration is an advantage
  • Well-organised with the ability to prioritise and communicate
  • Trusted to keep confidential information
  • Accurate with attention to detail
