Editorial

Welcome to our Autumn newsletter. As seen on the other side of the Atlantic, precious little can stop change, good, bad, or indifferent.

Well, here at Watts we like to focus on change of the good variety. This includes developing a time saving App for surveying, educating the next generation of industry respected surveyors, project managers and cost consultants and supporting our clients and industry colleagues with CPD seminars.

Please contact us if you would like to talk about any of the related items in the newsletter, marketing@watts.co.uk.

Quarterly Newsletter - Autumn

One of our young surveyors makes the shortlist.

We’re delighted that Paul Gibbison, a surveyor based in our Leeds office, has been shortlisted for this year’s RICS Matrics Young Surveyor of the Year Award. Paul, who joined Watts in 2014 becoming our youngest ever Associate in 2015. The judges were clearly impressed with his track record and client testimonials.

To inspire the next generation of young surveyors, Paul has been back to Leeds Beckett University, from where he graduated in 2010, to give first, second and third year Building Surveying and Quantity Surveying students, an overview of his experience, as well as the surveying industry, the role of the RICS and the process of becoming a Chartered Surveyor.

The Watts Bulletin is the technical companion to the Watts Pocket Handbook, the essential guide to property and construction, as used by professionals since 1983.
