Gibson House Gibson House
Gibson House was constructed in 1906, originally to house widows and orphans of merchant seamen. The five storey property had been vacant for seven years. Historic fire damage, pigeon infestation, disturbed asbestos and significant water ingress following the theft of roof lead had left the property in poor condition.
Watts was instructed to undertake a building survey of the property, identifying works needed to place it back into a habitable condition. Budget costs for the repair works formed a critical aspect of our service as these were to inform our client of the work needed prior to their proposed purchase of the property.
Excellent service! Watts were very accommodating regarding dates for the survey.
On the day they had everything they needed and the report was produced within
the promised timescale.
