Watts were asked to deliver the regeneration and expansion of the London College of Fashion library facility at their high profile John Prince’s Street campus. The works were to be undertaken during the summer holiday period and be fully completed in readiness for the new academic year.

The main scope included strip out and refurbishment of the existing ground floor library facility and cellular offices to create an increased library space across two floors. This included integration of a new staircase and lift to provide central access between the spaces. A variety of mechanical and electrical services was also introduced with great focus being given to the lighting scheme, which greatly improved the aesthetic and working environment as well as provided greater energy efficiency.
