Watts held a two year framework agreement with the Department of Rural Development, Roads Service to execute topographic surveys. These surveys were required to provide accurate dimensional and narrative information to support the re-design and improvement of existing roads and junctions. The work involved capturing levels and dimensions "in the field" using the latest GPS technology. The captured information was downloaded into the appropriate software and modelled to provide the survey drawing. Watts work within a framework of KPI's in terms of response and delivery times.
Watts' brief was to carry out a survey and produce electronic drawings clearly showing contours, dimensions, natural features and manmade features within an area prescribed by the client's specific instruction. Survey drawings were provided within prescribed time limits, produced in specified electronic formats and annotated to correspond with DRD protocol.
