Watts was instructed by Liverpool City Council to undertake condition reports for four secondary schools being considered for inclusion within the Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. The reports informed the City Council and the PFI bidders as to the current condition of the schools and assisted the decision making process on the extent and type of works required to each school. In addition, 25-year life cycle plans were produced for seven proposed school sites. Watts was instructed to carry out surveys and provide detailed reports on the condition of the schools' building fabric and finishes, mechanical & electrical services and the building structure. Any significant failures with compliance were also recorded and highlighted.
