Watts APC Training Day

Following the success of the monthly Watts APC Development Group Meetings, the decision was taken to host the inaugural Watts APC Training Day. This took place on Friday 20 November 2015 and saw graduates from across the Company descend on London for a day of focused APC Training. A particular highlight came in the form of a full formal sixty minutes Mock Interview which allowed all those attending a full insight into how the process works on the day. With the support of a host of Watts Directors, who invariably hold specialist skills and knowledge in the Building Surveying industry, the day proved to be a great success for all involved, and gave all those who attended a competitive advantage as they look to take the next step in their careers. See below for some great feedback about the day:

Adam Swift, Building Surveyor from our Leeds office thought “the APC day was brilliant. As a graduate surveyor I don’t think the day could have been any more informative. The presentations by everybody were great and I personally thought the mock interview was fantastic to include. It gave a real ‘fly on the wall’ perspective of what we should all expect when we sit our final assessment which we otherwise wouldn’t have had."

Attendee Alicia Smith said “the Watts APC Training Day was extremely informative and well-organised; I feel that it has helped me to gain a deeper understanding of the APC process, the expectations for each level of competency and an insight into how the interview process works."

Matt Gardiner who recently has recently joined the Bristol office felt "it was a useful opportunity to brush up on some key APC skills and see a mock interview first hand. It was also great to experience the breadth of knowledge available within the company, which is good to know as I start out on my APC journey!"
