Watts at the CIH Exhibition 2011

Watts has just returned from The Chartered Institute of Housing Annual Exhibition that took place 21-23 June at Harrogate International Centre.

The exhibition is known as the UK’s ultimate housing exhibition focusing on the provision of affordable housing and the development of sustainable communities, bringing together nearly 5000 housing professionals and many of the decision makers from Local Authorities and Housing Associations.

Watts was represented by Simon Walker, Tom Kibblewhite, Rebecca Fairclough and David Massingham from the Manchester office, armed with advice and information on our housing services and, of course, the trusty Handbook. The stand, situated in Hall B, was well attended by around 90 housing and property professionals from across the UK and Ireland taking a handbook and leaving their details, main topics for discussion included the ‘green’ issues affecting housing stock, inevitably the effect of the credit crunch on development of new social housing and the gaps in available affordable housing which is a significant concern for the industry.

CONGRATULATIONS to Laura Hutchinson of Harrogate Supported Housing who is the winner of our Champagne draw.  A bottle of Moet & Chandon Champagne is on its way to Laura.
