Watts’ QMS Certification: ISO 9001:2000

Watts has demonstrated its commitment to continually improve the range and quality of the services it provides.

Wider third party ISO 9001:2000 QMS (quality management system) certification has now been ratified by LRQA (Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance).

The International Organisation for Standardisations (ISO) is a powerful non-governmental organisation that has the ability to set national standards for quality management systems that often become law, such as the ISO 9001.

Requirements within ISO 9001 include:

• a set of procedures that cover all key processes in the business;
• monitoring processes to ensure they are effective;
• keeping adequate records;
• checking output for defects, with appropriate and corrective action where necessary;
• regularly reviewing individual processes and the quality system itself for effectiveness; and
• facilitating continual improvement

Watts’ certificate now embraces a broader scope/range of services and also includes those of our specialist environmental consultants.

All eight of our UK offices are covered by the certification.

What this means for Watts’ clients

Watts’ quality management system is used to

• ensure that all of our clients instructions are carried out to a consistently high standard in accordance with their individual target time, cost and quality objectives; 
• disseminate best practice throughout the group, allowing staff to become more effective and efficient and;
