The future’s bright for Watts

Watts Group PLC has been named as one of the county’s brightest businesses in a recent recession-busting poll.

The property consultancy features in the Telegraph 1000: Britain’s Brightest Businesses list, which highlights companies that have been tipped to kickstart the UK’s economic recovery.

The list was compiled with the help of NESTA, the innovation agency, and business information specialist Dun & Bradstreet, who verified the research.  The Telegraph also polled more than a dozen membership organisations, such as the Royal Academy of Engineering, as well as taking nominations from readers and conducting research of companies receiving peer acclaim.

The result is a snapshot of companies with operations across the UK that collectively generate more than £50bn in sales, who have shown resilience during the recession and stuttering recovery.

Ian Ford, Watts’ Group Managing Director, said: “We are delighted to appear in this list; we have certainly faced up to the challenges of the recession and are proud that our efforts to put our business in a great position to seize opportunities are clearly being recognised.  It is a testament to the efforts and loyalty of our staff.”

Operating from a network of 13 offices, Watts Group is recognised as a leader in the provision of technical due diligence, cost consultancy and project management services to the property and construction industries in the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
