Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor to specialize in Development Fund Monitoring – Manchester

About the Role:
Reporting to Senior team members and the Local Director, you will work as a key element of the team focused on supporting the monitoring team in our Manchester office. Initially, the selected candidate will shadow one of our team members until they have picked up the necessary skills to manage projects themselves.  

Key accountabilities and deliverables
• QS experience 2 years (current)
• Client focused attitude
• Sociable UK based person for both the client and company teams, to deliver work within the North West.
• To deliver projects ranging from a single house to 350 apartments.

•The candidate will require a full driving license and reliable mode of transport as the role will be 50% on site visits and 50% in the office.

Qualifications and experience required
• Relevant degree of practical experience as a QS within the commercial property market
• MRICS qualified or demonstrate this is being worked towards
• Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the JCT suite of contracts
• Demonstrate good knowledge of the NRM regarding Cost Planning
• Be proficient in IT skills including MS Office and cost estimating
• Hold a clean driving licence

• Experience with housebuilding costs would be preferable
