BT's flagship Scottish office reconfigured

The Edinburgh team is in the throes of tendering some work to BT’s Scottish headquarters, Alexander Graham Bell House at Edinburgh Park. Designed by architects Bennetts Associates and completed in 1998, the building was an exemplar low energy office of its time. In the intervening years, BT has reduced the number of staff based at the site and Watts has been appointed to oversee the configuration to allow part of the building to be sub-let.

A new entrance, reception area and lift core are being created to enable a new tenant to have its own access and identity. Our role includes securing all the necessary permissions, tendering and appointment of the contractor, health and safety advice and overseeing the construction period which we expect to be complete towards the end of this year.
