Building surveying
Watts were appointed by Bowmer and Kirkland Limited to carry out an updated condition survey including a 25 year PPM schedule of a specified block within a large campus complex.
Previously in 2023 Watts carried out a condition survey exercise of the entire complex comprising 17 blocks of varying ages and construction types. We were required to make a visual inspection of the structure and fabric and to report our findings as to their general features, forms of construction and state of repair.
In 2025, Watts reattended site and inspected internal, external and boundary areas of the specified block as well as carrying out a drone survey to assess roof condition. Previously Watts issued reports relating to the site that were also reviewed to aid instruction to provide an updated and tailored report to suit the client requirements.
Following reports issued by Watts provided support and advice regarding methods and further professional input required to ascertain concealed roof construction, member size and loadbearing capacity in preparation for a potential PV cell installation feasibility assessment.
